CBS announced Tuesday morning that Saturday's contest – which witnessed the careers of USWNT legends Megan Rapinoe and Ali Krieger come to an end – broke streaming records for the NWSL.
The game, which the Bats won 2-1, saw CBS' streaming Network – Paramount+ – score it's most-streamed NWSL match ever in households while recording 'double-digit growth' vs last year's championship game.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The NWSL announced a new media deal just last week, that is the single-largest streaming rights package ever associated with women's sports in the USA. The agreement will see ESPN, ABC, Prime Video and the Scripps Network all show matches during the 2024 season.

WHAT NEXT FOR NWSL?
With the 2023 campaign officially over, and NWSL trophy in the hands of Gotham FC, the league will now look to prepare for the 2024 season. The NWSL draft takes place in January.
